Sheffield Steel Fabricators Since 1944
Based in the heart of Sheffields industrial zone, Starweld was formed in 1944, originally providing a steel fabrication service to local dairymen, fabricating and assembling stillages and pallets.
Throughout our 80+ year history we have expanded and diversified and are now one of the foremost steel fabrication businesses in Yorkshire. We serve a wide and diverse client base with steel fabrications in Sheffield and beyond, working with mild, stainless and exotic steel fabrications. Welding services are also offered, using a range of welding techniques to provide welding of steels, aluminium, stainless materials, exotic materials and cast iron welding and repairs.
Taking Steel, Cast Iron and Aluminium Manufacturing to the Next Level
Heaps, Arnold & Heaps Group
In 2012 the company became part of the Heaps, Arnold & Heaps Group of companies and a program of continuing improvement through investment was launched.
Since this time, significant investment has been made in our design suite, now offering a range of CAD Design Services.
Further investments have been made in our fleet of fully equipped service vehicles, allowing us to extend our mobile fabrication and welding services. This service is also backed up by our modern fabrication workshop facilities, which has also seen investment in new and updated fabrication and welding technologies.
Now One of the Foremost Steel Fabrication Businesses in Yorkshire
Quality of service has always been paramount to Starweld, with our internal management systems being ISO 9001:2015 compliant. Starweld Engineering are also fully compliant with all CE marking requirements.
This ensures that our products meet the quality demands of our customers. Our welders possess a variety of welding codes, for further details please contact us.
CE Marking Execution Class Two
Starweld Engineering are now CE Execution Class Two in line with the latest EU legislation for CE approved fabricators.
Since 2014 CE marking has become mandatory throughout the EU for all structural and construction projects. This legislation means that all fabricated components are fully traceable to source. All fabricated structural steelwork delivered onsite in the UK must now be CE marked.
Starweld Engineering have undergone extensive auditing ensuring that we have a factory production control system that is fully compliant with this legislation. Clients should now have full confidence that structural steel fabrications undertaken by Starweld Engineering will meet the CE approved standards for mechanical resistance, stability, serviceability and durability.
As part of our accreditation we have implemented the following:
The ability to add EN 1090 Execution Class 2 means Starweld is ready to meet the demands of our customers and ensure all legislative standards are met.
